To use PocketSoothe, you must have the Waba Virtual Machine installed on your Palm Pilot or WinCE device. I have included 1.0 of the WabaVM for the PalmPilot should you not already have it. Please view the Readme for the WabaVM for more information about installing it. If you have a WinCE device please go to http://www.wabasoft.com to download the virtual machine designed for your particular device. Further instructions for installing all the WabaVMs (for all supported platforms) can also be found at this location.
To install the application for Palm Pilot, please use the Palm Pilot install application to put TheSoothe.prc and PocketSoothe.pdb on your Palm device. It has been tested and seems to work well with Palm III, Palm IIIx, and Palm V. It should work with most devices prior to Palm III, however earlier versions of the device may not have enough memory.
To install the application on a WinCE device, please copy the TheSoothe shortcut and PocketSoothe.wrp to your device.
To launch PocketSoothe, choose "TheSoothe" from your launch window (see figure below).
Once launched, you should see the following screen.
Frame a "yes or no" question in your mind. Once you have your question, speak it aloud and tap within the Soothe's box (the double bordered square). You will see the screen change as your question is pondered. Within seconds, an answer should appear.
If you are running the registered version and would like to better your odds of getting a positive or negative answer, press the "menu" silk-screen button and the following menu will appear.
By choosing "Good Only" you will receive positive and inconclusive answers. Choosing "Bad Only" will cause the Soothe to offer only negative and inconclusive answers. Choosing "Normal" will return the Soothe to normal operation.
The downloaded version of PocketSoothe is freeware. You may use it as much as you like without registering it. However, this version will request you to register upon launch and after every five "fortunes".

This is the first release of PocketSoothe. At this time there are no known bugs.
Possible future enhancements include more possible answers, and the ability to ask "relationship" questions.
